About me

My natural instinct is to care, empathise and listen, and it's always been that way. These are qualities for me intrinsic to being a social carer, and ones in which I take great pride. In my social carer experience, when working one-on-one or in a group setting, creating an accepting and safe environment to help the client or participant be themselves is paramount. I am open-minded, adaptive and strive to help all be themself as you never know what someone can bring to the table. One of my favourite aspects of being a social carer is supporting and building a connection with a participant and seeing them succeed at their goals and enjoy – it doesn’t get better than that. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts Majoring in Dance and a Minor in Drama, creative arts will always hold a dear place in my heart. I love to lead one-on-one and group dance workshops that foster creative expression, connections, teamwork and assist participants with movement, balance and gross and fine motor skills. If there’s ever an opportunity to incorporate dance, I will find a way.
