I have worked in disability for 10 years as the connections and relationships I have created have been so rewarding. I enjoy learning new life skills, and sharing these skills with others. To be able to have fun, and help others at the same time is unlike any other job. I have worked with a range of clients of varying disabilities, ages and interests. My most recent position, was managing a disability day program of 60 clients. This position really allowed me to get to know a range of clients, their communication styles, and advocate for their safety and wellbeing. I have experience with intellectual, physical and psychosocial disabilities. I have experience with epilepsy, PEG feeding, dementia, complex bowel support and more. I also love to help with domestic support such as cooking, cleaning and gardening. I love to explore new areas around Sydney, spending my days off wondering arounds parks, beaches and anywhere I may end up. Sports and exercise help me keep a happy and balanced lifestyle and are very important to me. I have a 5 year old retriever, so I spend a lot of time throwing a ball or swimming at the beach with her!
