My deep passion for helping people and influencing a positive change in people's lives has motivated me to become a Social Carer. Through my studies in Medical Radiation Science, I have developed a strong understanding of the importance of compassionate care, communication and empathy. I have just finished working for six weeks in Cairns Hospital, and have completed 14 weeks of placement all across Sydney. This exposure has provided me with significant experience working with people from all different backgrounds, cultures, mobilities and needs. I have also worked as a support worker in Port Macquarie for about six months. I consider myself quite a creative person, and enjoy activities such as painting, drawing, crocheting and reading. I also spend much of my time at the gym, playing netball or at the beach with friends. I am passionate about health and wellbeing, and love activities that facilitate my creative expression and ability to connect/socialise with others. I enjoy having challenges as problem-solving is something that motivates me to perform better.
