I wanted to become a support worker because I’m passionate about helping people live more independent, fulfilling lives. I find it meaningful to build genuine connections with individuals and support them through both everyday tasks and more challenging moments. This role allows me to make a positive difference, whether it’s by providing emotional encouragement, assisting with personal goals, or simply being someone they can rely on. I’m also drawn to the opportunity to learn from diverse experiences and grow both personally and professionally while contributing to a caring and inclusive community. I’m passionate about helping people, and that naturally connects with my love for being outdoors and travelling. Spending time outside and exploring new places has taught me to be adaptable, open-minded, and appreciative of different perspectives and ways of life. Through travelling, I’ve developed a genuine interest in meeting new people, understanding their stories, and offering support where I can. Whether it’s lending a hand, sharing experiences, or simply being present, these hobbies have strengthened my empathy and communication skills.
