About me

What motivates me to become a social carer is seeing what my family, particularly my mum have done in the industry. I know how fulfilling the career is to her, as she can actually help people in a setting that still encourages the clients to maintain independence. I have a strong desire to do the same thing. I want to help people achieve their goals, I want to help them do the things they want to do, without taking away the feeling of accomplishment from them. I want to be able to make a difference to clients days, I want to do activities with them, I want to make them feel like they have a friend. I feel like there’s very few jobs out there that allow a person to have such a positive impact in a one on one setting, and I’d love to be part of that My passions include arts and crafts, gaming, scrapbooking, I love going out to festivals or fun faires, concerts, just anything that gets me out doing something. I love being hands on, I like walking, I love baking, making sweet treats, I love going shopping. I have a strong passion for cleanliness and good organisation, and I try to express that in my day to day life.
