My name is Elsa and I am 51. I am a very energetic and positive person and I enjoy talking to and listening to the stories of the senior members of the community. I feel that I have a lot to offer to the right person, whether is sharing my skills and love for the arts to the more practical issues in life, like gardening, house chores or looking after pets. When I went to University I went to live with my grandmother, they were fantastic years for both of us, she was looking after me and I was looking after her. I understand now that for her, having someone to talk to was of great value and joy. I feel that there is a lot of senior people out there that need someone to listen to their stories as unfortunately in our society, once you reach certain age, you seem to become invisible and it should not be like this. I have had some experience teacing art to kids in the past. I can certainly share my painting and drawing skills as I am an award winning visual artist. I am also going to start a course soon in Art Theraoy so I would Iove to help the right person with their artistic goals. I also love gardening and I have worked (and still do occasionally) as a gardener, and most of my clients have been elder people that loved their gardens but coudn't have the physical strength to do it any more. I am a fitness enthusiast person who runs regularly (8K every other day) , goes for long walks and love being outdoor, so I can help with any fitness needs. I have experience as a dog walker and looking after pets (I myself have a dog, a parrot, and have had fish in the past).
