I am eager to become a Social Carer because I want to make a positive impact on the lives of others, even if it is just in small ways. My undergraduate studies in psychology provided me with insight into how neurological and psychological conditions can significantly affect an individual's ability to perform daily tasks. Additionally, witnessing my uncle's recovery from a haemorrhagic stroke reinforced the importance of support from others in helping someone navigate the physical and emotional challenges that arise from such a debilitating condition. Ultimately, I believe it would be an incredibly rewarding experience to know that I am making a difference in someone's life, whether that be by helping them with their groceries or simply providing companionship and a listening ear. I believe I would make an excellent Social Carer as I am an empathetic individual who genuinely cares about others. My strong communication skills would enable me to connect with clients on a personal level, helping them feel comfortable and valued. Additionally, my ability to be patient and understanding, and listen to each client's unique needs would ensure I can provide effective and compassionate care. These qualities, combined with my dedication to making a positive impact, make me well-suited for the role. Some of my hobbies include hiking, long walks, swimming and picnics at the beach, attending rugby games, dance and exercise, cooking, watching live music performances, going to the theatre, reading and writing, yoga and pilates, and doing puzzles and games with friends.
