Hi! My name is Diogo. I’m Brazilian and currently living in Sydney. I joined Like Family because I’ve always been a caring, patient and empathetic person, and I really enjoy connecting with people and making their day a little easier and more enjoyable. Since joining the platform, I’ve had the opportunity to gain real experience as a Social Carer, supporting members and learning how important reliability, patience, respect and good communication are in this role. I understand that every person is different and has their own routine, personality and needs, so I always try to provide support in a way that makes the person feel comfortable, respected and independent. I’m friendly, easy-going and a good listener. I’m happy to provide companionship, social support, help with daily routines, light assistance around the home, walks and outings, or simply spend some time chatting and keeping someone company. I also absolutely love animals, so if you have pets, that’s definitely a bonus for me! I’m always happy to help with walks or spend some time with them as well. Outside of work, I enjoy going to the beach, parks, exploring nature, watching movies and series, travelling and spending time with friends and family. I also really enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and learning about different cultures. For me, being a Social Carer is not just about completing tasks. It’s about being someone reliable, respectful and positive that you can feel comfortable having around. I look forward to meeting you and hopefully being able to support you! 😊
