Caring, compassionate and understanding are key values which makes a good social worker. Knowledge is also relevant but essential values which will assist in delivering the services to the client is just as important. Independence is key and working towards assisting clients to be live a full, fulfilling and happy life, to be able to to do what they love, is what makes a successful social worker. Listening, learning and introducing same hobbies which might be similar to the client is important. Safety of the client, and following the guidelines provided by the care plan is also important.
