About me

I wanted to become a Social Carer because I have always had a strong passion for helping others feel supported, valued and understood. My caring journey began when I was looking after my late mother, and it taught me compassion, patience and the importance of making someone’s day a little easier. Since then, I have worked in disability and aged care for over 8 years, and I truly enjoy building connections, encouraging independence and supporting people to live meaningful lives. I believe I will be good at this role because I am warm, reliable, respectful and genuinely enjoy helping people. I listen, I care deeply, and I always try my best to make clients feel safe, comfortable and empowered. Some of my passions include supporting people in the community, encouraging others, and making a positive difference in someone’s day. I enjoy cooking, light exercise, walking, music, church activities, and spending time with family. I also enjoy motivational content and helping people feel confident and valued. My skills include strong communication, cultural awareness, empathy, patience, and the ability to support clients with daily routines, personal care, community access and emotional wellbeing. An interesting fact about me is that I’m currently studying my Diploma of Nursing, which allows me to provide even better support to clients. I am a very positive, calm and caring person who loves creating a safe and friendly environment for everyone I work with. I take pride in being reliable, understanding and easy to talk to.
