I feel that I am an empathetic person. I would love to be able to help people to enrich their lives and be happy. I enjoy helping others and would love to make a career of it. I had been running our family farm for the past 20 years. When it closed down at the end of 2023 I decided to travel. I bought a caravan and travelled around Australia for 7 months on my own. I love photography and teaching others about it too. My time managing our farm has given me many skills, including time management, long term planning and also interpersonal skills, such as knowing how best to utilise each persons skill set and strengths. Before returning home to manage our family farm in 2003, I spent 7 years as a chef. I earned my trade certificate and then travelled to central Australia and Far North Qld to work. I am a hardworking and driven personality. I am organised and methodical. I am also artistic and have creativity. I am confident with computers and technology and am able to grasp new concepts quickly. I am a visual learner. While I have not worked in this field before, I have some first hand knowledge of ADHD, which my sister and niece both have. My son has Auditory Processing disorder and I have helped him and advocated for him while getting through his schooling. I am currently helping him navigate PTSD after trauma last year. I have a close friend who has ASD and I feel I have the insight and compassion needed to work with anyone who has extra needs in these areas.
