I wanted to become a Social Carer because I genuinely enjoy helping people and the feeling that you get from helping someone out and the satisfaction from knowing that you have made a difference to a persons day, week, life. I believe that my easy going, adaptable personality and general life experience that comes from dealing with different stakeholders on a daily basis will be a great match for this job. I love getting out and socialising, all sport, especially, cricket and golf which I still play, being outdoors, gardening, all pets and animals, walking, general fitness, and amongst other things, good food and a sneaky beer. I enjoy talking to people of all ages and backgrounds and listening to there life experiences, stories and achievements. I am good at reading the room in terms of different personalities, problem solving and having a joke and a laugh. I live on a 3 acre property in Teesdale that keeps me busy, I am happily married to my wife Shelley ( a teacher of 20 years ) We have 2 adult children who are 21 and 23 and a foster son who is 18, along with our 3 dogs, 2 goats and a cat, we refer to the animals as our pack.
