I love being around people of all walks of life. I am a very open and friendly person, that has a curiosty to understand others and their life experiences. I believe that I poses the attributes of a social worker as I am a very empathetic and giving person and I practice observing the needs of others before myself.
I believe that we not only need to show empathy in order to understand others and their needs, however compassion is the drive of taking action in order to relieve the suffering of others.
As I have 5+ years experience working as a Qualified Health and PE teacher in Melbourne, I have a deep understanding of how others think and perceive themselves, what drives them to succeed and how to create positive change.
I have experience working with many children with social, cognitive and behavioural disabilities in my years of teaching and understand that all children have different levels of needs and care that need to be considered. I have always been inspired by my coaches and teachers growing up, and I had a desire when I was 10 years old that I wanted to be the role model that helped shape and challenge me to be the person I am today.
I love meditation, mindfulness and yoga, and I believe we are all connected in many ways. To see others happiness, despair, desires, pain, joy and frustration is a reflection of what we all have within us.
I love working one on one or in teams, I believe every individual has a different level of needs and requirements to be happy and feel they can contribute to society.
I am always up for anything and everything, as I have a lot of energy and drive to try new things and challenge myself to grow and be a better person.
In my spare time I enjoy:
Hiking, camping, shopping, going to the movies, seeing friends and family, dancing, running, swimming at the beach, travel, making smoothie bowls, painting, creating terrariums, reading, babysitting, cooking and cleaning.
