It is really important to me to first develop a strong bond and trust with the person in my care. I am patient and empathetic but can also bring energy and fun to ordinary activities. I am a mum of three (an older teenager and 2 adults) and was a young solo mum. I ove children and the chaos and perspective they bring. I am adaptable and not easily flustered or embarrassed. Being curious, I enjoy exploring the world and interests of others. I enjoy finding activities that are fun but also serve a purpose, for example games that build strength and coordination, as well as fitness. As a qualified teacher I also know how to teach life skills in an engrossing and positive way that build competence and confidence. I have a good sense of humour and love jokes and silliness as it makes life more fun!
