I am a naturally empathetic and caring person. I love working with people and working in industries that support vulnerable members of the community. I am seeking an opportunity to utlilise my natural interpersonal skills and a role in a setting where I can make a difference to people’s lives and strengthen community participation. I welcome any study or training opportunities to continue to grow and learn. In recent years I have supported my husband in building and growing his electrical business whilst our children have been very young. Now that he is well established and the children are settled into their Primary School routine, I wish to re-enter the community services field in which I have studied and worked prior to having children. I previously worked for a mental health service where I worked with individuals with a psychosocial disability and with their families. My work involved supporting our consumers to develop capacity, build skills and get involved in activities they were interested in. It also involved supporting their carers and families in gaining respite and linking into relevant support services. I am patient and encouraging and am confident that through my studies, work and life experience that I have the skills and strengths needed to excel in this role and would love the opportunity to discuss my suitability. I enjoy keeping active and love being outside on walks, bike rides and runs. I enjoy slow time as well reading or doing yoga and pilates. I love spending time by the ocean, painting and craft activities, playing cards and browsing at markets.
