I was motivated to become a Social Carer because I enjoy helping people feel connected, valued, and supported in their daily lives. I’ve always been someone who finds meaning in building relationships and making a positive difference, especially for people who may feel isolated or need a little extra support.
I believe I will be good at this role because I’m empathetic, patient, and reliable. I listen carefully to others, respect their independence, and adapt to their individual needs. I also have strong communication and organisational skills, which help me provide consistent and safe support.
In addition, I have hands-on experience working with both aged people and individuals with disabilities, which has strengthened my ability to provide compassionate care, manage diverse needs, and foster trust. Most importantly, I genuinely care about creating a positive experience for the people I support.
Im passionate about supporting people to live with dignity and independence, and I truly enjoy building meaningful connections with others. Some of my key skills include empathy, patience, strong communication, and adaptability—qualities that help me provide safe and person-centred care.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, walking, music, and spending quality time with my family. I also love creative activities like arts and crafts, which I find are great ways to connect with people of all ages. These hobbies not only bring me joy but also allow me to share positive, engaging experiences with the people I support.
