Growing up in a culture that deeply respects the elderly, I have always held a strong appreciation for their wisdom and experiences. My close relationship with my grandparents and my experience in caring for them has shown me the importance of compassionate care in promoting people’s well-being. It made me realise how important it is for individuals, especially those who are vulnerable or isolated, to feel heard, supported and valued. I enjoy reading, especially fiction, as it helps me to relax and understand different perspectives and experiences. I enjoy going for walks and sometimes baking. I love spending time with my family. I love listening to music, mostly rock n roll and old hindi classical. I've worked in different industries over the years, which has helped me develop a wide range of skills like adaptability, communication and teamwork. But I would say my experience as a support worker over the past year is the I enjoyed the most. Although the role can be demanding, I truly enjoyed connecting with different people and found it deeply meaningful to see the world from their perspective. It made me realise how much I value human connection, empathy and being able to make even a small impact in someone's life.
