At 29, I’ve learned how important it is to feel supported, understood, and respected, and that’s what motivated me to become a Social Carer. I genuinely enjoy helping others and being someone people can feel comfortable around. I find a lot of meaning in supporting individuals to live life on their own terms and reach their personal goals. I believe I’ll be good at this role because I’m patient, reliable, and empathetic, and I always take the time to understand what each person needs and what makes them feel comfortable.
I’m passionate about connection and wellbeing. I enjoy supporting people to stay active, engaged, and involved in their community, whether that’s getting out of the house, trying new activities, or simply enjoying good company. I’m a good listener, calm, and patient, and I enjoy helping with daily routines and encouraging independence where possible. In my own time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, listening to music, staying active, and relaxing with activities that help me recharge and stay positive.
I’m easygoing, respectful, and non-judgmental, and I believe trust and communication are the foundation of good support. I’m adaptable and comfortable working with different personalities and routines, and I always aim to create a safe, relaxed, and supportive environment. I take my responsibilities seriously and always show up with a positive attitude and genuine care.
