I wanted to become a Social Carer because helping others has always been something that brings me a lot of purpose and joy. I worked in childcare for five years, where I developed patience, empathy and strong communication skills. In recent years, I have also supported elderly family members and friends, which made me realise how meaningful it is to help people feel supported, safe and connected. I believe I will be good at this role because I am compassionate, reliable and genuinely enjoy making a positive difference in people’s daily lives. Some of my hobbies include cooking, going for walks, listening to music and spending time outdoors. I also enjoy connecting with people, having meaningful conversations and helping others feel comfortable and included. My strengths include being patient, organised and a good listener. I like creating positive environments where people feel respected, supported and encouraged to enjoy their daily activities. I am a friendly and positive person who values kindness and respect. I enjoy building trust with the people I support and making sure they feel comfortable and understood. My background working with children and supporting older adults has helped me become adaptable, patient and attentive to different needs. I always aim to bring a calm, supportive and encouraging presence to the people I work with.
