About me

A Support Worker/ Social Carer is something I have wanted to do for many years and here I am! I value building lasting connections with people. My Clients will be treated with dignity and respect with my services. I am very passionate about working with a purpose and I will take the time to learn about you AND your needs, interests, hobbies and passions. The satisfaction I get in helping people maintain their independence is incredibly rewarding. I have been a Support Worker/Carer for the past year or so (after a previously long career in Structural Engineering) and am thoroughly enjoying the experience/s that come with it all, and meeting new people. Most of all ~ the fulfillment that comes with helping individuals 'live their best life'. (smiley face). Enjoying my new career path so much, I decided to study once again and obtain my Cert.lll in Individual Support (Disability) which will be completed soon (Mid October, 2023). Being Technology savvy, I can help with setting up computer programs, researching sites, filling out online applications, etc. and also have a background in Administration and Accounting. I consider myself people-centric, fun loving and definitely 'young at heart'. I love card games, board games, gardening, renovating, animals, op shopping, travelling, music festivals, movies, documentaries ~ the list goes on. My 4 kids are all grown up and living all over the World with my 6 grandchildren. My rescue dog (Rusty), a 'shitpoo!' (shih tzu-poodle X) lives me me (smiley face). Please do not hesitate to contact me via 'Like Family' or by phone (0410 523 095) if you feel that I could be a suitable match for any support needs/requests.
