In the past, I have worked as a nanny and as an in-home disability carer, I am currently working as an assistant nurse and studying for a nursing degree. I have always considered myself a very optimistic and compassionate person who loves getting to know and supporting people of all different ages and backgrounds. I have a complex understanding of mental health and ways in which support can be given to those struggling with mental illness and issues. I pride myself on my listening skills and my ability to form connections and bonds with different client , as well as motivating them towards achieving their goals and independence. I used my communication skills and practical knowledge to empower and educate healthy coping mechanisms and self-reflection, I am an extremely compassionate listener who will support clients by listening to their needs and struggles and providing consolidation and emotional reassurance. Additionally, my cleaning and organisational skills will ensure maintaining a clean and functional living environment that caters to the individuals lifestyle, preferences and practicality.
