I am a very compassionate person who loves spending time with people. I especially love hearing peoples stories, holding space for people and meeting them right where they are. I already work as a part time Funeral Director, Funeral Celebrant and End of Life companion, so this work is very much aligned with the work I am already engaged in, service and caring for others. I am very much interested to work with our elders, they hold so much knowledge and wisdom and they deserve our respect and care. I am passionate about end of life education and helping people prepare for the inevitable. I believe in helping to create a peaceful end of life experience that will not only help the person who is transitioning but also for the family left behind. Good preparation makes for a peaceful experience for all. However I would not raise these subjects without being invited to and unless people are interested and wanting to talk in more detail about them. My other interests are self development for example, I attend an adult Non-Violent Communication group every month where we develop our communication skills and practice resolving conflict and big feelings peacefully and without causing harm. I enjoy Meditation and breath work. I love fitness, bike riding with my kids, playing board games with my kids, walking, singing, dancing, reading and spending time with friends and family. I love to spend time in nature and having a good laugh. I have successfully completed online study to become an End of Life Companion and I have more than two years experience as a Funeral Celebrant and Funeral Director for a small locally owned business who's focus is on the care and well being of our beautiful families at their time of need. I have completed extensive course work in order to volunteer as a home hospice carer with Amitayas a local Home Hospice Care organisation. I am a Justice of the Peace, I have a current working with children's check and a police clearance. I am passionate and extremely capable and reliable.
