Hi, my name is Robyn, Tell us why you would make a great Hero. I have realised how important it is to help and encourage people. My dad died 5 years ago and I have been helping my mum. I take her shopping, to the movies , for a walk and listen to her. She had a fall last year and she was very ill this year. We didn't think she would come back from it so I have had to be patient with her and encourage her to keep going and I am happy to say she is improving, she is tougher than she thinks. She is a lovely little lady. I have also looked after my beautiful grandson and enjoyed this immensely. I would love to be of help . Tell us how you will share one of your skills or hobbies to help someone in our community. I am a good listener, I can take them for a walk, to the shops, to the movies, I can read to them, if they are in a wheel chair take them for a nice walk, we could try and do crosswords together, help them be more organised if this is needed. My hobby is exercise really so I cant offer any artistic ideas but I do like to read, watch plays, see movies, walk , have a chat. I have worked in the student exchange industry for many years so have had a lot of contact with teenagers and their parents. I have bought up my two sons on my own their father left when my youngest was only 4, I am proud of my boys and of myself for raising two such beautiful men.
