I am an Australian citizen of Greek origin and have worked as an interpreter for multiple years in Melbourne visiting peoples homes usually with a nurse, an occupational therapist etc. I can see how lonely people are and understand the need for them to be able to converse with someone in their own language. I thought I would be a great asset if I could spend a little more time and make a difference in their life. Recently my elderly Greek mother passed away in Greece but due to Covid I could not go to Greece nor care for her during her final days. I feel great regret that I could not do this and in return I would be very happy if I could do something for someone, the same way that others cared for her. I would love to help someone especially in their garden by helping them plant/grow vegetables of their choice and then care and watch those vegetables grow. Then I(we) could make a meal out of it. I would also love to assist in any physical activity such as simple exercising, going for walks or even attend to the grocery store. I am very good at cooking multiple nationality food and am happy to share my knowledge. As I live in the Scoresby area I prefer to visit clients within a close vicinity.
