About me

For me, it has always been a strong passion to help people and make a positive difference in their lives, especially those who may be vulnerable or going through difficult times. I was attracted to social care because it offers the opportunity for carers to use compassion, practical support, and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with those in need. Seeing how much of an impact a caring presence and a bit of help can make really motivated me to pursue this path. I believe I will be good at it because I’m naturally empathetic, patient, and a good listener. I’m also dependable and understand the importance of respecting people’s dignity and individuality. I’m not afraid of hard work, and I know that being a Social Carer requires both emotional strength and a practical approach. It is rewarding to be someone people can rely on, and I’m committed to making a real difference in their everyday lives. I’m passionate about helping people and making a positive impact, which is one of the reasons I was drawn to social care. I enjoy working closely with people and supporting them to live fulfilling, independent lives. I find it really meaningful to be someone others can count on. In terms of skills, I’m a good communicator and listener, and I work well both independently and as part of a team. I’m also patient, organised, and quick to adapt to difficult situations. I stay calm under pressure and try to bring a positive attitude to everything I do. In my spare time, I enjoy hobbies that keep me active and connected with others. I like going for walks and spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy reading and learning about mental health and well-being, as I think it’s important both personally and professionally. Yes. My background (growing up in Nigeria) and personality make me suited for a role in social care. My experience working with Bina Foundation for 2 years helped in building my solid background and refining my skills. I’m naturally caring, patient, and calm under pressure. I’m a good listener, and people often feel comfortable holding conversations with me, which helps build trust — something that’s really important in this line of work. I’m also very reliable and take pride in doing my job to the best of my ability. I enjoy learning new things and am always willing to take on training to improve my skills. I’m motivated by the idea of helping others feel valued and supported in their daily lives.
