About

I wanted to become a Social Carer because I am passionate about supporting individuals in leading independent, fulfilling, and dignified lives. My background in client engagement, disability support, and counselling has reinforced my belief in the power of compassionate, person-cantered care. Outside of work, I enjoy keeping fit and spending time in nature with my family and my dog who thinks she's a duck (she loves the water!) I also love creative pursuits - singing, playing piano, making art, going to exhibitions. I am also deeply passionate about continuous learning and advocating for mental health and social inclusion. I believe everyone deserves respect, autonomy, and opportunities to thrive—and I am dedicated to making that a reality for the individuals I support. I am just about to complete a Diploma of Counselling at the Institute of Applied Psychology, which is enhancing my ability to support individuals with mental health challenges, trauma histories, and diverse personal experiences. I am also completing my Graduate Diploma of Psychology (Advanced) and am on my way to becoming a Provisional Psychologist. My natural curiosity, warmth, and commitment to ongoing learning help me continuously improve the quality of care I provide. Above all, I genuinely care about making a positive difference in people’s lives and believe in creating a supportive, respectful, and empowering environment for those I work with.
