I. I was a construction project engineer for several years where I worked in remote parts of Australia and later I was a director of my own real estate company for over 20 yrs and trained many people who went on to run their own businesses . I dealt with people from all walks of life . I have excellent communication skills and have always had compassion and sympathy for those less fortunate than myself . My skills are with communication and making people feel relaxed . A vision impaired gentleman I have been working with now is a prime example where his confidence has increased dramatically over the last year . I’m fully qualified as a support worker with accredited first aid as well. I’m a dog person too having had them all my life . I enjoy a good game of chess , walking, reading widely , talking about anything and everything plus I’m very conscious of keeping fit . Swimming and walking are the best exercises you can get . I can teach people to swim as well my way as I was a qualified surf lifesaver in my younger days . I don’t charge for this , it is part of my ‘caring time ‘ if you like the pool ! I also help people go shopping , going to medical appointments or would just like to chat - over coffee . Going for short drives to parks etc is also on my agenda . . I’m very easy to get along with , down to earth .
