Hi my name is Colleen, I am 60 years old and I live in Sunshine, western suburbs in Melbourne. I am the eldest of five children and my family means everything to me. I am married and have two sons, we have 3 dogs, four horses and a pony who i love spending time with, I also love taking my mother in-law and my family to see the horses, it always puts a smile on their face and the horses love it too. I love helping others and have a very kind nature and i'm very patient, I love chatting and i'm also a great listener. I have been the sole carer for my mother in-law Nancy the past eight years, she has dementia and Alzheimer's . I would shower her, dress her, cook meals, read to her and anything else she required to make her happy and comfortable. I have also cared for a lady that needed care 24/7, I would do sleepovers and I would shower, dry and dress her and I also did cleaning and cooked meals for her. She had mental Health, autism , anxiety. I have had a lot of experience with Mental health,Autism as I have family members that have autism, substance abuse, and don't judge others for the choices they have made. I love to read so if you have wanted to read a book that you have never got around to read we could read it together. I also love to sing and write poetry, I love art and do rock painting, painting on canvas, making mobiles with shells and feathers . I love walking on the beach, it soothes my soul. I also love bush walking, and being outdoors. I love to travel, my favorite place is Uluru in the Northern Territory as my friend is a ranger there so i get to stay with her and can see the rock from her kitchen window. It's a very spiritual and sacred place and i'm very respectful of the Anangu elders that live in the community not far from Uluru / Ayers Rock, and all the stories are on and around the rock. I love hearing the stories, and have walked around the rock several times as it's beautiful. I love taking care of people who need me, I think being the eldest of five children helped, as I loved helping my mum and learned many things from her. I'm very honest, friendly, trust worthy and will do anything asked of me if i am able. So if you would like someone just to chat with and listen or do some shopping, i would love to help. I would love a meet and greet to see If you think I am the right person and suitable to help with your everyday needs. My sister and myself offers equine assisted learning, Kelly my sister has been working with horses for over 50 years, her business is called Neigh Worries in the Lara area, kelly is very patient and kind and can tailer a session on the clients needs, she also has ducks, and a goat named Pebbles. He also loves cuddles and kisses and loves to be groomed. This service is NDIS approved. Below are some photos of Donny and me grooming him, also my mother in-law having a visit with the horses.
