I love putting smiles on other people’s faces. I am family oriented and this gives me the passion to care for others. I was born in a very large family that has a culture of looking out for each other especially taking care of its young, elderly and the Vulnerable which is where I got my passion to take care of others. People that I care for come first and I always strive to make sure I am listening to their concerns. I then discuss with them to come up with solutions that can be done to tackle the activities of daily living of which it then gives me a client centred approach to be my base strategy in everything I do for clients. I am a friendly, trustworthy and respectful person. I am also a reliable and very responsible person willing to be corrected whenever I make a mistake. I can work without supervision or under minimum supervision. Currently I am working as an Agedcare community support assistant. Communicating with clients and my supervisor is very important to me as it keeps things moving in a positive way and I like updates and feedback. My current employer is happy with the work that I am doing and they have confirmed their satisfaction of my work through phone calls and by sending me emails of positive feedback they receive from clients. Some clients even acknowledge my work publicly in some community media posts such as the newspaper. ^& ^&If I am needed to do shopping with a client I will help them to make sure that they have everything they will need for shopping before leaving the house. I will make sure they are dressed appropriately for the weather on the day, they have their shopping bags, wallet, phone and walking equipment or wheelchair. We will plan our trip while at home and make sure that we have enough time to do all what we need to do without rushing or running late to get back home. I will ask them if they are ok to be out and about before we leave the house and also mention to them if they would like to use the restroom if needed. If everything is okay then we will start on our shopping activity.^&
