I am motivated to make a difference in someone's life. Many people feel lonely or forgotten, and simply being there to listen and support them can make a real difference. Another motivation is knowing that small actions matter. Simple things like listening, checking in, or helping someone find support can reduce loneliness and help people feel less alone and more understood. Finally, it's about dignity and human connection. Many people face challenges beyond their control, and this work helps them feel valued, respected, and supported as they work through change at their own pace. I am an active person who enjoys spending time outdoors, especially at the beach. I enjoy sewing, listening to music, going out for coffee, and going for walks. I am also highly organised and skilled at finding affordable options and sourcing cost-effective products. I have an adult son with autism who has very limited speech and experiences behavioral challenges. I organized his communication system and developed a strong understanding of the challenges families face. Through consistent effort and the communication tools we created, my son—who once had no speech—now has some limited verbal communication. My son now lives in his own home with our ongoing support and is thriving.
