About

I wanted to become a Social Carer because I genuinely enjoy connecting with people and making a positive difference in their lives. I believe everyone deserves to feel valued, supported, and included. I'm naturally patient, compassionate, and a great listener. I take time to understand each person's unique needs and preferences, and I truly enjoy encouraging others to try new things and feel confident. Whether it's sharing a conversation, helping with everyday tasks, or simply being present, I find real meaning in supporting someone to live life on their own terms. I'm reliable, adaptable, and committed to building genuine, respectful relationships—which I believe are the heart of good support. I enjoy staying active with walks and time outdoors, as well as creative activities like cooking and trying new recipes. I also love movies, music, and good conversations over a cup of tea. My skills include being a patient listener, adapting to different needs, and providing practical support with daily tasks like meal prep or getting out in the community. I genuinely enjoy encouraging others to try new things and feel more confident. I currently volunteer weekly with an elderly lady who lives alone - helping her with shopping, handling tasks around the house, and most importantly, keeping her company. It's been a really rewarding experience that's shown me how much a regular visit and genuine conversation can mean to someone. I'm also known among friends for being the one who remembers the little things—like someone's favourite drink or a story they told weeks ago. I bring that same attentiveness to the people I support.
