About

I am passionate about helping others improve their daily life, whether that is through achieving new goals, experiencing new things, or just enjoying time doing what they love. Being able to assist people in feeling heard, happy, and safe is something I aim for. Being a social carer allows me to do all these things whilst also building professional yet friendly connections with new people, and gain new experiences and learning opportunities. Some of my hobbies include art, such as drawing and painting. I also love sport, with tennis being my favourite but my interest being sprinkled across all sports in general. I love music and movies, and love sharing new songs and discussing movie plot lines. I am Sri Lankan born, but moved to Australia in 2008. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science at La Trobe University, in hopes to enter a Master of Physiotherapy. I successfully completed a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, with 120 practical hours, at TotalPhysioCare, working in both a hospital and clinical setting. I worked well building client rapport whilst professionally delivering the tasks I were delegated. I previously worked as a tennis coach, where I taught a range of children from age 4-15 and adults 18+ both technical and tactical skills whilst instilling a fun and enjoyable environment. I am a highly empathetic person, I am a great listener, and someone you can depend on. I am very friendly, bubbly, and enthusiastic ensuring I create a warm and welcoming energy. I deeply value making sure those around me feel comfortable, accepted and safe.
