About

I am new to formally working as a support worker but I have been working as an unpaid worker for many years. I love that I have been able to help people remain active in the community by the help I can give them. I am chatty, friendly, like to laugh, positive thinker, like to learn, love hearing people tell me their stories, but also like some quiet time. I have 2 adult sons who are both neurodivergent, have over 30 years helping them navigate their lives and given them their independance. I also worked formally as a student support worker in high schools for 5 years. Recently I have been working with older ladies taking them to craft days, social outings, the local pool, library, shopping, sporting events, and concerts. I have varied personal interests including music and concert/festivals, reading, my dogs and cat, fishing, gardening and sports. I am LGBTQIA friendly.
