About

I am currently in my final year of studying a bachelor of nursing which I am loving. I am particularly enjoying having a positive impact on people during a challenging chapter of their life. I would love the opportunity to utilise my skills I have learnt whilst studying to help a range of people with varying aspects of their lives. So far I have completed 440 hours of clinical placements in acute and subacute settings with a wide range of patients varying from children to the elderly. I consider myself to be an extremely empathetic person and have great communication and time management skills, as well as a high attention to detail. Additionally, I think I would be great for the position as I have lived experience dealing with psychological conditions. Also, I am neurodivergent and part of the LGBTQIA+ community, which gives me the unique perspective to empathise with other peoples' needs and has given me an excellent understanding of how everyone has different requirements, including the importance of sensory factors and demonstrating cultural sensitivity. So, I would love to use my passion for healthcare as well as my lived experiences to help people however I can! As stated above, I have a passion for all things healthcare, with a particular interest in mental health, LGBTQIA+ health, and neurodiverse populations. Additionally, I love being artistic and exploring different realms of creativity. I love animals and think they can play such an important role in our mental health! Finally, I love the environment, particularly marine life and love snorkelling and exploring different areas!
