About
I want to become a Social Carer because it’s a rewarding role where I can assist those in need, support them with daily tasks or activities, and help foster their sense of fulfillment and independence. I believe I would excel in this role, as people know me to be friendly, empathetic, and helpful. I genuinely enjoy helping others and love seeing people thrive and live life to the fullest. As a good listener, I can also apply my skills and experience as a physiotherapist to further support those in need. I enjoy playing my ukulele and piano as I find them relaxing and enjoy a good music. I enjoy arts and crafts, especially painting, and I’m eager to learn new forms of art like pottery. I also love cooking and experimenting with different recipes. For outdoor activities, I enjoy walking on the beach or going on hikes I’ve always enjoyed helping people, no matter the situation. It brings me joy to see someone happy after I’ve assisted them, which is what led me to pursue a career in physiotherapy. Before that, I was also interested in studying psychology due to my curiosity about human behavior and how experiences or traumas shape it. Even now, as a physiotherapist, when my patients open up about their struggles or find something difficult to handle, I love listening to them, offering encouragement, or suggesting ways to help with their situation. I also enjoy providing advice to improve their movement and teaching techniques on how to lift or perform tasks safely at home or work, so they avoid injury. This is part of my job, but it’s also a trait embedded in me—to help make someone’s life a little easier or more manageable. I also worked as a support worker in Melbourne for a year, and these experiences have inspired me to become a social carer. I want to use my free time on weekends and days off to provide support to people in need, whether they are looking for companionship, assistance, or just someone to talk to.
