About
Some Key things to know about me are I am a very empathic and caring person and enjoy talking to others and listening to their ideas and thoughts. When working with my participants I like to build a strong foundation and get to know the person and what their goals are and work together to build on those goals and their skills. I am a very patient person and find that this helps participants with requiring a slow transition, for example working with youth that have social anxiety and need time to build confidence before going into new situations. that I love nature and use this in a lot of my supports finding that nature is a great place to use the imagination and be creative as well as reducing feelings of stress and anxiety and promoting healthy well-being and regulating the emotions. I am also a very creative person and active always coming up with ideas for my participants to help build their confidence and being involved in activities. I have worked in disability community support services for 12 years now and still am very passionate about my work. I have worked in youth work, community work, disability work and age care. I am happy to help with personal care, domestic, arts and crafts and outdoor adventures, I enjoy working with all ages. some fun facts about me are: I play guitar and ukelele I have been in 3 films and met some famous people. I enjoy paddleboarding and swimming I have two dogs a German shorthaired pointer and a desert dog I have a green thumb, with many plants at home!
