About
I was motivated to become a social carer after working with a young man who had Down syndrome. Supporting him to reach his goals was very rewarding and showed me how meaningful this work is. I believe I would be good at this role because I am patient, reliable, and a good listener, and I take the time to understand and support each person’s individual needs My passions and hobbies include sport, particularly AFL, as well as music. I enjoy going to live shows and listening to a wide range of music. I also love being outdoors, whether that’s going for walks or spending time at the beach and spending time with friends in the community or at home. My key skills include being reliable, caring, patient, and a good listener. I take pride in being supportive, dependable, and considerate of others’ needs.
