About
I decided to become a Social Carer because I’ve always felt a strong passion for supporting others, especially those who may need extra guidance or care. Having spent nine years as a teacher, I've worked closely with both children and adults with disabilities, and this experience has shown me how rewarding it can be to make a real difference in someone's life. Through my teaching career, I’ve learned that one-on-one support can have a profound impact. I genuinely enjoy working with individuals, helping them unlock their potential, and empowering them to achieve their goals. Whether it's through engaging activities, the arts, or simply offering a listening ear, I’m able to connect with others and create a space where they feel valued. I believe I’ll be good at this role because of my ability to adapt and build relationships. I have a creative side that comes through in my love for the arts, performing, and writing, which I find helps me connect with people in unique ways. Additionally, I’m deeply inspired by nature and its calming qualities. I enjoy being outdoors, which allows me to offer clients a peaceful environment where they can find some comfort and clarity. What motivates me most is the ability to be a role model, to show people that they matter, and to help them discover their purpose. The opportunity to motivate and empower individuals—whether it’s through teaching, inspiring, or simply being there for them—gives me a sense of fulfilment that I want to continue bringing into my work as a Social Carer.
