About

I’ve always been someone who enjoys helping others and making a positive difference in people’s lives. What motivated me to become a Social Carer is the opportunity to support individuals who may not be able to fully care for themselves, and to help them live with dignity, independence, and a better quality of life. I believe I’ll be good at this role because I’m naturally empathetic, patient, and a good listener. I also work well under pressure and can adapt to different situations, which is important in a caring role. More than anything, I genuinely care about people, and I treat everyone I support the way I would want my own loved ones to be treated. I’m a naturally empathetic and spiritual person, and I really enjoy making others feel happy and supported, it’s what drives me. I’m highly organised, good at prioritising, and I take pride in getting things done properly. I’d describe myself as a go-getter who’s always ready to help. Outside of work, I love being outdoors, especially gardening. I also enjoy socialising, anything that keeps me active and connected with others. I have a personal understanding of the challenges faced by individuals living with motor neuron diseases such as MS and muscular dystrophy. My perspective on care, empathy, and the importance of support was shaped by the early diagnosis of my late father with muscular dystrophy.
