About

I love making people feel wanted and loved. Growing up, I lived with my Grandparent's in a split-level house and this helped us become very close. My Grandfather has been living with chronic back pain as a result of an accident for 40 years so helping him with his back when it gets out of shape, helping with his computer issues, or even just sitting and chatting with him about all the things he's done have become regular parts of my life. He's not able to do much as his mobility is limited, but I always enjoy the energy he has when sharing about his past and love learning new things about him, even after 16 years of living with him. My sister has also been struggling with mental health over the last few years so whether it be a trip to Macca's or just chilling in her room with a movie, it's been invaluable for me to be a safe space for her to unload what's on her mind or just to relax. Being there for my sister and grandpa have helped me learn how to be there for my friends as well. Although they don't struggle on the same level, it still makes me happy to know that my friends are comfortable enough around me to tell me what they're going through because they know I'll be listening. My parents played a big role in helping me through High School and my early life afterwards, and the caring environment I grew up in at home has imprinted itself on my personality and I'll always be ready to pass that on to others around me. Whether that be lending a hand for more practical tasks, going to see a movie, or just having a chat, I am always ready to be there.^& ^&Movies are something I'm very passionate about and there are very few things I love more than breaking down a complex movie plot and looking for hidden things the writers put in and little details that others missed. This is far more fun talking it over with someone else because they almost always notice things I didn't, and it's awesome uncovering pieces of a story together. Depending on movie genre preference, it would be, essentially, watching and talking about it after. I love movies that make you think about fuzzy questions and they would give us something to talk about for ages, and it also helps me learn more about a person when I see how they react to interesting plot points.^&
