About

I wanted to become a Social Carer because I believe every person deserves the opportunity to live a full life with dignity and respect. I am blessed in my life to be able to choose to do work that is meaningful to me—which means work that makes a real difference in the lives of others. Becoming a Social Carer allows me to fulfill my personal mission of leaving the world a better place through kindness, compassion and serving others. I have always been drawn to opportunities that involve care, support and encouragement of others. As well as having fun! While I do not have formal caregiving experience, I have raised (and am still raising) three sons (22, 19 and 14) and that has taught me a lot about life, patience, perspective and personalities. I am naturally empathetic, patient, and a good listener, and I love the idea of bringing warmth, companionship and practical assistance to those who seek it. I also love the flexibility of this role, which allows me to balance my time between my family, my online business and my commitment to making a positive impact. If I can use my skills and life experiences to brighten someone’s day, help them feel more independent, or simply bring a sense of comfort and companionship, then I know I will be living my best life while helping others live theirs. I am passionate about creating a warm, welcoming and supportive environment for those around me. I love home-related activities, from keeping a space tidy and beautiful to gardening, baking, and even a bit of handy DIY! I also enjoy meaningful conversations over a cup of tea (or several!), playing board games, working on jigsaws and simply spending time connecting with others. Laughing a lot and eating cake fit in here also 😉 Pets, music and reading books make my life complete. Healthy living is also very important to me (not too much cake). I practice mindfulness, journalling and meditation, and I focus on habits that promote well-being, such as regular exercise (I love walking and hiking), good sleep, whole foods and social connection. I believe that small, positive changes can make a big difference in someone’s overall happiness and quality of life. These are habits I am happy to share with people who are interested, if invited to do so. Beyond that, as a life-long learner, I enjoy problem-solving, researching for information, for facts, for ideas. I am able to help people with essential everyday computer and 'tech' skills. I can even support people in writing their memoirs, researching their family tree, or simply finding practical solutions to challenges. My training and background in life coaching has given me the skills to help people develop a growth mindset, reduce stress and feel empowered in their own lives. I bring a warm and bubbly personality and a combination of skills (practical and creative), life experience and a heart for helping others. As a trained personal coach, I have well developed listening skills and an understanding of how to support people in navigating emotional challenges, building confidence and achieving their goals in life. Kindness, patience and respect for others guide everything I do. I believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and given the opportunity to live a fulfilling life. Whether through companionship, conversation, or practical assistance, I want to make a positive impact and bring warmth and joy to those I support.
