I was motivated to become a Social Carer because I’ve always had a strong passion for helping people and making a positive difference in their lives. My background as a teacher taught me patience, empathy, and how to adapt my approach to suit different personalities and needs. Moving into support work gave me the opportunity to build deeper one-on-one relationships and support clients in a more personal and meaningful way. I’m passionate about helping people reach their potential and creating a positive impact in their lives. I enjoy supporting others to overcome challenges and develop their independence, which is one of the reasons I moved from teaching into support work. I bring strong skills in communication, patience, and problem-solving, developed through years of working closely with individuals of all ages and abilities. I’m also adaptable and empathetic, which allows me to build genuine connections and provide personalised care. I’d like to highlight that my background as a teacher and current experience as a support worker have given me a unique combination of patience, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills. I’m comfortable working with people from all walks of life and supporting individuals with diverse needs and behaviours.
