About
I would like to become a social worker as I am a mum to a beautiful 1yr daughter and would love to help other families out when my daughter is in daycare. I believe I would be good at social working as I have had experience working with children aged from preschool to high school who suffered from asd, add, adhd and selective mutism. In the previous job I was able to build trusting and supportive relationships with all clients. Some of my hobbies include, Horse riding Animal care Arts and crafts Exploring the outdoors. I have a passion for baking birthday cakes and sugar cookies. Some important skills that I have acquired include - working in high stress situations - working independently and/or being a shift supervisor - experience with adhd, add, asd - running kid groups of up to 6 children I worked for a company called field of dreams early intervention and support for a year, in which I taught horse riding lessons and was a teacher assist. During my time working here I was able to establish beautiful relationships with the children and develop some knowledge on how children function with mental disorders. After changing careers and working in the equine racing industry I had a daughter and now I would like to get back to working with children/ adults to share my experiences and Knowledge to help improve their life but also gain some knowledge and awareness for myslef to help bring my own daughter.
