About

I'm compassionate and reliable with a deep commitment to helping people live comfortably, independently, and with dignity in their own homes. Growing up in the bush was the start of my journey into care and community work, which has continued throughout my working life and while raising my own family. I enjoy offering help with daily household tasks and doing these with kindness, respect, and genuine companionship. I like to dedicate my time to helping others feel safe, seen, and supported at home. As a young person I lived in the UK and I was an in home carer to several affluent clients all of whom became family. I really enjoyed my time with them and as life has come full circle, I'd like the opportunity to again support families in that way. I believe everyone deserves to feel at ease in their own space – to laugh, to share stories, to eat well, and to be surrounded by care that feels personal and human. Whether it's preparing favourite meals from scratch, helping with housework, supporting daily admin, or simply being there for a cup of tea and a chat, I find joy in the little things that bring comfort to everyday life. My approach goes beyond basic assistance. I take the time to get to know people – their routines and preferences I offer help with day-to-day chores like tidying, laundry, grocery shopping, and cooking, as well as light administrative tasks such as sorting mail, organising appointments, or managing simple paperwork. I bring patience, emotional intelligence, and a genuine interest in people’s lives, which helps me connect deeply and respectfully with those I care for. Home-cooked meals: I'm a part time in-home cook (NDIS Yellow card) and have many regular clients of all ages and abilities. I love cooking and can whip up healthy meals and snacks just the way you like them – whether it’s an old family recipe or something new and nourishing. Day-to-day ease: I help keep your space comfortable and your to-do list manageable. Natural nurturer: I’m calm, attentive, and attuned to the emotional and physical needs of others. Reliable and respectful: I always treat your home and privacy with the utmost respect. Great company: Whether you want to chat, listen to music, see a play, go for a walk, or just have someone nearby, I’m here for warm, easy companionship. As a community service, I manage two local neighbourhood watch Facebook pages and regularly liaise with our local police and the community to keep everyone informed. I grew up on a property in South-West Queensland, and have many family, friends and connections who live in the bush. I attended boarding school and was educated in Brisbane. I have travelled extensively through UK, Europe, Africa, Eastern Block, Russia, China, USA, Australia and NZ. Throughout my life I have worked in Travel and Tourism, Politics, Health care industry, Financial planning industry (family business), and currently a domestic provider of home cooked meals. I volunteered extensively in support roles throughout my children's education. As my husband has retired and children are now forging their own lives, I'm offering part time or casual support with a personal touch that’s grounded in empathy, friendship and trust.
