Hello, my name is Shona, I am 52 years old and have been living in Australia for the last 18 years. I spent 19 years of my life working in Early Childhood with three children myself including my son who has Autism. It was an extremely rewarding job and my heart was full everyday! I am drawn by the opportunity to work with people with disabilities and aged care, and would love the chance to make a difference. My background equips me with high empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by people with disabilities, enabling me to be patient, supportive and respectful. I am excited to be working together with Like Family to bring you and your family the best care. I have a passion for skin and have a part time home beauty salon which I absolutely love as it allows me to connect with people and pamper them when they need some time out. I love to travel and explore new places, especially if it is cold! I take pride in everything that I do and am a hard worker. I love to look after people and being able to give back fills my cup. I try to look for something to be grateful and thankful for everyday and always believe in the power of a smile as you never know what somebody is going through.
