About
What motivated me to become a Social Carer is my passion for helping others and making a positive difference in their lives. I’ve realized that I really enjoy being there for people and making them feel cared for, especially when they’re going through tough times. I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Paramedicine, which has deepened my understanding of healthcare and reinforced my desire to help those in need. Through my studies, I’ve learned a lot about the physical, emotional, and mental challenges people face, and it’s made me even more passionate about supporting others in a compassionate way. I believe I’ll be good at it because I’m naturally empathetic and patient, and I have a genuine desire to help people feel comfortable, heard, and supported. I’m a good listener and thrive in environments where I can make a difference. I also love being active, whether it's through outdoor activities or just being a friendly presence for someone who needs it. I’ve gained valuable experience through volunteering and various roles, which has helped me develop essential skills like communication, problem-solving, and working as part of a team. I’m excited to continue building on these skills and learning more, as well as making a positive impact in someone’s life. I’m a huge fan of anything to do with water—whether it’s swimming, snorkeling, or just hanging out at the beach. I love the feeling of being in or near the water, and I try to spend as much time as I can outdoors. I also love bringing along my dog, Ziggy, on any outdoor adventures. Food is another big part of my life. I really enjoy cooking and baking, and I love trying out new recipes and tasting new foods. Traveling is also something I’m super passionate about. I have been lucky enough to go overseas to various countries and I loved exploring new places, meeting new people, and of course, trying different cuisines. When I’m not outside or in the kitchen, I’m usually doing something creative, like arts and crafts. I also enjoy relaxing with board games and puzzles, whether it’s with my family or friends. Spending time with loved ones is really important to me. I also like to give back whenever I can. I’ve been involved in volunteering and fundraising for causes like Laps for Life, the Royal Flying Doctor Service, and Steps for Cerebral Palsy. It feels good to make a positive impact and help out where I can. Overall, I’m all about staying active, having fun, and making a difference in any way I can! My work experience includes roles in medical reception, hospitality, housekeeping and Nannying, where I honed my organizational skills, time management, and adaptability. I thrive in dynamic environments and pride myself on being a strong communicator who builds meaningful connections with others. I have a fun loving nature that brings a warm and proactive approach to every task. On top of this, my dedication, reliability, and positive outlook drive me to deliver exceptional results, and I’m eager to make a meaningful impact in any role I take on.
