About

I come from a very large family of passionate youth and social support workers so I have been raised with great appreciation for social care. Because of my large family dynamic, communication and connection has always been so important for me, and since working in customer service roles for the last 6 years, I have been privileged to learn about so many individuals' life experiences and deepen my connections with the community around me. Throughout recent years, I have worked mainly in human/animal-centric roles (tutoring/pet sitting/wing community leader) where I have been privileged to develop so many authentic connections and grow in appreciation and respect for the individuality around me. Because of this, I am committed to fostering comfortability as a social carer through compassion, support, and authentic engagement. Prior to moving to Brisbane in 2021 to complete a bachelor of Business/ Marketing at QUT, I lived on the Gold Coast for 17 years where I loved spending any free time hiking, swimming, dancing and rock climbing. Because of my passion for adventure, I am confident in maintaining enthusiasm and excitement for clients as a social carer, aiding individuals' in creating lasting memories. I am very passionate about sharing my love of adventure with those around me. Spending much of my time hiking and camping, I have developed great appreciation for the calming capabilities of being in nature. As a social carer, I would be committed to planning fun and comfortable day experiences with those I work with. For example, I would love to plan a short hike for a nature lover where we can discuss fun facts about the native flora and fauna, and enjoy the beautiful scenery and sounds of the environment around us. Being a creative individual, I would also love to integrate creative tasks into adventures. Spending time outdoors painting about our experiences after a hike would be relaxing and exciting for community members to try something new and feeling immersed in the environment.
