About
My motivation to become a Social Carer stems from a deep passion for helping others. I came to Australia in 2017 and have been so impressed and touched by the inclusivity of this country. Therefore, I was inspired to become someone who can make a difference in other's life through my skills and knowledge. Throughout my volunteer work at Vinnies and my studies in Community Services, I have witnessed firsthand the positive impact of compassionate support on individuals' well-being. My ability to connect with diverse communities and provide tailored assistance has reinforced my dedication to this field. Also, as a bilingual, I have engaged with clients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and I am confident that my cultural sensitivity will help promote cultural inclusivity in this industry and make people feel more respected. Scrapbooking, reading and going out are my biggest hobbies. As a community worker, I think it is important to try different hobbies and learn new skills as we need to engage with clients from different communities. And I am excited to share all my hobbies and passions to clients, promoting engagement in the community. I am skilled in adapting communication to meet the unique needs of clients from diverse backgrounds. Qualifications that match the role are: I hold a valid WWCC, First Aid & CPR Certificate, Police Check, and have completed the NDIS Workers Orientation Module: Quality, Safety, and You. I also own a fully insured vehicle and am willing to obtain the NDIS Workers Screening Check. I am a more outgoing person and active listener, which I believe is the key to build trust with clients.
