I have always participated in volunteer programs across many areas including women and children experiencing DV, attending nursing homes to provide company to aged people and partaking in meal delivery initiatives with Vinnies. I am a good listener, a helper, a friend and get the most joy out of interactions with people and knowing I can help. I am dedicated and hard working, while also being warm and loving a laugh. I am a skilled baker and cook and have spent most of my career in hospitality (both in kitchens and serving the public). I am a creative person and am passionate about design and the arts (you can find me at the art gallery or in a restaurant or bakery most often). I am passionate about equality, an LGBTQI+ advocate and love sustainability. What fills my cup is talking to people, helping people and being of service - this is why I work in hospitality and see care work as an extension of that. I have been working as a nanny to a 4 year old for over 3 years, where my skills with children, home organisation and cleaning come into play. Without blowing my own horn here, I am quite funny. I love a laugh and love sharing a cup of tea with anyone. Im a listener, helper and mainly can adapt to match someones energy (a nice mix of being outgoing with also much self awareness to keep to myself if need be).
