About

My motivation grew from the desire to make an uplifting impact to people facing hardship and adversity. Growing up in a family with some suffering from mental illnesses has grown me into someone empathetic and understanding. I have witnessed first hand some of the struggles that they experienced as well as the effects on younger minds and lives. These experiences have left me striving to do something that is focused on support and growth. Throughout my career I have worked in diverse roles that have allowed me to boost my skillset and strengthen my resolve in finding a way to help meaningfully consistently in my daily life. As a bank employee, I enhanced my interpersonal and customer service skills, learning to listen and address clients' concerns patiently. In my role as a high school IT technician, I developed strong problem-solving abilities and technical proficiency, useful for navigating various situations. I am dedicated to promoting awareness, reducing stigma, and championing the rights and well being of those I can assist. My hobbies include animal rescue/charity, cooking, anything to do with gardening, tinkering with cars, arts/crafts and video games. My own journey has been interesting with being diagnosed with ADHD a few years ago after so many questions. But I will say that being understood and supported makes a world of a difference to so many people as I have learnt myself. My home also has 4 rescue ferrets (not free roaming) and two disabled Staffy dogs who love to give a kiss and cuddle. My partner and I love to attend the ferret rescue monthly meetups in Newcastle to assist raising funds and educate future ferret adopters.
